Social Responsibility Policy

This policy has been prepared within the scope of TS EN ISO 26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility and is aligned with the IWAY Policy (PO-06) and the Environment & Occupational Health and Safety Policy (PO-03). It emphasizes EDS Inc.’s corporate social responsibility principles and the importance and priority of this matter.

EDS Inc. accepts social responsibility awareness in all its activities as one of the primary and indispensable elements of its management approach. Within this scope, all activities carried out in every department of EDS Inc. are planned with awareness of their economic, social, and environmental impacts.

Our fundamental principles regarding social responsibility are as follows;

  • Discrimination or privilege among our employees based on language, religion, race, gender, belief, age, physical disability, or similar differences is not accepted. Human resources are considered the most important factor for sustainable growth.
  • All working conditions (such as thermal comfort, lighting, hygiene, etc.) are established in a manner worthy of human dignity. Employee safety and health are protected through continuous improvement and technology-supported developments according to changing dynamics over time.
  • Within the framework of legal obligations, our employees and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in all activities that may contribute to environmental benefit in order to promote environmental awareness.
  • Employees are supported in volunteering for appropriate social activities in line with social responsibility awareness.
  • During external audits conducted by private and public institutions and internal audits carried out regularly, data are presented in an accessible, understandable, transparent, and objective manner in accordance with the principle of Transparency.
  • The impacts of all social, economic, or environmental decisions and activities are maintained at an Accountable level and communicated regularly to relevant stakeholders. Necessary corrective actions are immediately implemented to prevent the recurrence of unforeseen adverse impacts.
  • Honesty and fairness are adopted as the foundation of integrity in conduct, and the principle of Ethical Behavior is taken as a basis for the environment and all living beings.
  • In its activities, EDS Inc. fulfills its social and environmental responsibilities towards society within the framework of Respect for Stakeholder Interests in harmony and cooperation with shareholders, employees, suppliers, subcontractors, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Within the context of social responsibility, the principle of Respect for the Rule of Law constitutes the boundary line, and belief in the supremacy of law remains constant within all areas of authority, even in cases where laws and regulations may not be sufficiently strong.
  • Sensitivity is shown towards the traditions and cultures of Türkiye and all countries where services are provided. Within this scope, the principle of Respect for International Norms of Behavior is handled carefully within the framework of laws. Any participation in crimes inconsistent with this principle is strictly avoided.
  • EDS Inc. is aware of the importance and universality of the principle of Respect for Human Rights, including all stakeholders and employees. It recognizes that the concept of “human,” which forms the basis of instruments such as the Millennium Development Goals, the Johannesburg Declaration on Sustainable Development, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is viewed from the same perspective across all cultures and represents customary binding law for individuals and organizations.

This policy statement is a clear commitment by EDS Inc. to fulfill all duties and responsibilities falling upon it in the journey toward creating a better world. EDS Inc. is determined to create and cultivate an environment and culture in which social responsibility principles are implemented.
