This policy is also aligned with the IWAY Policy (PO-06), which has been prepared within the scope of the IWAY Standard Version 6.0. Our Environment & Occupational Health and Safety Policy reflects our commitment to the United Nations (UN) “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” and is based on the “10 Principles” of the UN Global Compact. While developing our requirements, we have adopted the “UN Sustainable Development Goals” and the International Labour Organization (ILO) “Centenary Declaration for the Future of Work” as guidance.

  • Short, medium, and long-term goals are determined within the scope of Occupational Health & Safety and Environment; strategic steps towards these goals are identified, and the realization status of the goals is monitored.

Control parameters in the Environment & OHS Annual Work Plan, training activities, near miss notifications, occupational accidents, and similar topics are included in the board agenda, and necessary actions are monitored in line with the decisions taken.
  • Risks and opportunities are evaluated by considering the environmental aspects arising after production activities (measurable and monitorable) and the related compliance obligations.
  • It is aimed to increase employees’ knowledge, skills, and awareness regarding Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety through trainings, and to positively improve their attitudes towards environmental impacts and Occupational Health & Safety rules.
  • Effective and efficient use of natural resources is ensured in order to control environmental impacts arising from our activities and to increase recycling and recovery.
  • During the procurement process of products and services that provide energy efficiency, high-performance and long-lasting products are preferred. Awareness activities regarding energy saving (training, written and visual resources, etc.) are carried out.
  • The existing system has been established with the flexibility to adapt to changing and developing conditions and is based on the principle of continuous improvement.
